The standard was developed independently of size and industry and can be applied in any situation: From a pandemic-related restart to restructuring for the 'new normal' to maintaining your operations throughout.
The standard deals specifically with health and safety management during a pandemic and covers the following topics
- Risk assessment
- resources
- communication
- planning
- Operating procedures
- Performance evaluations
- Improvements (Plan-Do-Check-Act)
Like ISO 45003, ISO PAS 45005 is purely a guideline and not a management standard, as is the case with ISO 45001, for example. This means that it is a catalog with recommendations and practical examples that can be used as a basis for optimizing procedures and processes in the company. Certification in accordance with ISO PAS 45005 is therefore not possible.
