Successful certification according to EN 9120 in just a few steps
The EN 9100 series of standards for quality management systems for the aerospace and defense industries covers the entire supply chain and is based on DIN EN ISO 9001. EN 9120 was developed to ensure fulfillment of the specific requirements regarding quality and reliability in the area of distribution and storage. The standard applies to companies that distribute, resell or store aerospace components. Businesses that carry out processing activities on the components at the same time are not included, however. Such companies require certification according to EN 9100 or EN 9110.
Companies certified according to EN 9120 are included in the international online OASIS database (Online Aerospace Supplier Information System) of the IAQG (International Aerospace Quality Group). This allows them to be seen by potential customers and gives them a competitive advantage. These days, internationally recognized certification is frequently required for participation collaborative projects.
As part of the certification, the documentation, processes and performance of the QM system are reviewed in accordance with the requirements of the aerospace and defense industry. Compliance with the exacting requirements relating to storage and delivery as well as the handling of parts of dubious origin is also assessed.
Before your certificate expires after three years, we also offer you the option of recertification, in which case we repeat steps two to four of the certification process.
