The planning, installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems and voice alarm systems requires a high level of expertise and experience. Improper execution can have serious consequences and may even cost lives. A certification according to DIN 14675 certifies that you, as a specialist company, fulfill the exacting requirements – in terms of the correct planning, project planning, installation and commissioning of fire alarm and voice alarm systems – sufficiently to effectively guarantee fire protection.
We have been accredited for DIN 14675 since mid-August.
As DEKRA Certification GmbH, we are therefore able to carry out certifications in accordance with DIN 14675 and to audit the persons responsible in accordance with DIN 14675.

Audit of the fulfillment of the requirements of DIN 14675. The audit encompasses all the relevant phases implemented by the company.
4. Certificate and seal
After successfully completing the certification, you will receive your certificate and the DEKRA certification seal (with a maximum validity period of four years)
5. Surveillance audit
After two years, the surveillance audit is carried out
6. Recertification
After four years, the recertification takes place
To be certified as a specialist company in accordance with DIN 14675-2, the following requirements must be fulfilled, depending on the phases to be applied:
  • Proof of company name (commercial/business register)
  • Minimum amounts of cover for occupational liability insurance
  • Person responsible according to DIN 14675-2
  • Promised delivery(ies) from system supplier(s)/manufacturer(s)
  • Sample maintenance contract
  • Confirmation of the system supplier about regular training for the fire alarm and voice alarm systems
  • Induction and further training of employees
  • Knowledge of the fire alarm and voice alarm systems to be used
  • Certified quality management system (e.g. according to DIN EN ISO 9001)
  • Requirements for specialist companies according to Table 2 of DIN 14675-2
DIN 14675 is a standard that lays down clear requirements for the construction and operation of systems for fire detection, fire alerting and fire alarms in and around buildings. In particular, the building regulations and fire department-specific requirements are taken into account. The scope of application ranges from simple systems to complex installations with automatic fire detectors, manual fire detectors and the alerting of the officially designated body (such as the fire department).
DIN 14675 classifies the individual task areas for the construction and operation of a fire alarm or voice alarm system in phases:
  • Phase 5 – Concept: Concept and protection objectives of the fire/voice alarm system
  • Phase 6.1 – Planning: Design and implementation planning
  • Phase 6.2 – Project planning: Facility and assembly planning
  • Phase 7 - Assembly and installation: Creation of the cable network and installation and/or connection of all the components of the fire alarm system
  • Phase 8 – Commissioning: Checking the installation, setting the parameters and switching on the system
  • Phase 9 – Acceptance: Verification: Components, system, installation and functions; handover of the system, commissioning of the system by the operator
  • Phase 10 - Operation: Operation of the system, updating of the alarm organization, updating of the fire department route maps
  • Phase 11 – Maintenance: Measures of periodic inspection, preventive maintenance, repair of the system
Obligation to provide information if the scope of certification of a specialist company is reduced
In accordance with the certification procedures, the specialist company must notify the certification body of any changes without delay (in the event of the QM certification being lost/reduction/change of fire/voice alarm systems, the system provider and the “responsible person,” for example).
