Your ISO 42001 certification at a glance

ISO/IEC 42001 is intended for companies of all sizes that develop, operate, or use AI systems. It provides a structured framework for making AI usage clear and comprehensible. As part of the certification process, our experts will assess whether your management system meets these requirements, and whether risks, responsibilities, and processes are clearly defined and documented.
1. Information
Review of documentation relating to the AI management system and verification of documents for completeness and compliance with standards
2. On-site certification
In stage 1, the submitted documents are reviewed. In stage 2, the practical implementation of the AI management system in the company is evaluated on site
3. Audit report and evaluation
Documentation of the audit and evaluation of the management system
4. Certificate and seal
After successful completion of the certification process, you will receive your certificate and the DEKRA test seal (valid for a maximum of three years).
5. Initial surveillance audit
Audit of the practical implementation of the certified AI management system in the company
6. Second surveillance audit
Repeated audit to ensure ongoing compliance with standards and effectiveness of the system
7. Recertification
Three years after initial certification, steps 2 to 6 are repeated in the recertification audit
