- Application
- If applicable, an audit to obtain a letter of conformance
- Two-stage audit for initial certification
To maintain certification, the following are required:
- Surveillance audits (annually)
- Recertification audits (every three years)
Each audit is planned based on the information you provide. During the audits, compliance with the requirements of IATF 16949 is verified on a sample basis. If any identified nonconformities are successfully closed within the timelines specified by the IATF, the certificate is issued or maintained.
