No participation in consumer dispute resolution proceedings

As a service and customer-oriented company, we at DEKRA always endeavor to resolve in an amicable manner any differences or conflicts arising from our contractual relationships. In the event of any complaints, our customers may contact the processing branch or our central customer service department at any time via the hotline number +49 (0) 800-3333333. If and to the extent that no mutual solution can be reached with the customer, the customer may take recourse in regular courts. The courts will then decide on the existence or non-existence of bona fide claims in accordance with the applicable law.
We are convinced that this system best meets the requirements and expectations of our customers. In our view, a consumer dispute resolution procedure is unnecessary. Due to the intransparency associated with such a procedure (no publication of decisions and the absence of absolute binding nature of mandatory consumer law), we even see the risk of existing consumer protection rights being undermined. We have therefore decided not to participate in dispute resolution proceedings conducted by consumer arbitration boards.
