DIN EN ISO 14001 certificate presented in a ceremony at the racetrack
DEKRA Certifies Environmental Management at the Hockenheimring
DEKRA now audits and certifies sustainable biomass based on the SURE system. Economic actors can thus provide objective evidence that they fulfill the legal requirements for the sustainable generation of energy or heating and cooling.
Hockenheim-Ring GmbH has had its environmental management system for the motor sport, major events, and event management areas audited and certified by DEKRA Certification GmbH in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001:2015.
Certification in accordance with this international standard for environmental management systems evaluates companies and helps them to reduce their environmental impacts and continuously improve their environmental performance. The audit by DEKRA’s experts took place over several days in March 2023 and covered both racetrack operations and administration.
Dr. Rolf Krökel, Managing Director of DEKRA Certification GmbH, presented the certificate in person to the managing directors of Hockenheim-Ring GmbH, Jorn Teske and Jochen Nerpel, during a visit to the racetrack. “It is a pleasure for us to support companies on their path to sustainability, especially an established organization like the Hockenheimring, with which we have a longstanding partnership due to our involvement in the DTM, among other things,” emphasized Dr. Rolf Krökel as he toured the paddock.
