Certification according to VDA 6.1

Documented quality of your series production

The German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) developed the VDA 6.1 certification standard for manufacturers of series components as early as in 1996, which also provided input for the IATF 16949 predecessor standard ISO/TS 16949. It covers the quality requirements of most German automotive manufacturers and their direct suppliers.

Successful VDA 6.1 Certification in just a few steps

The precondition for the supplementary certificate according to VDA 6.1 is prior certification according to ISO 9001. The VDA standard has an independent structure with 125 applicable audit questions and an additional design description. Supporting manuals, the “red series” of the VDA, are available for central topics such as the initial sampling, impact analysis (FMEA) and quality planning.

    Documentation audit and verification of the practical application of the quality management system
  • 3. Audit report and assessment
    Expert review of the audit results and preparation of the audit report
  • 4. Certification and DEKRA seal
    After successfully completing the certification, you will receive your certificate and our recognized seal (with a maximum validity period of three years)
  • 5. Annual surveillance audit
    A surveillance audit takes place every 12 months
  • 6. Recertification
    Steps 2 to 6 are repeated in the recertification audit before the expiry of three years
